At The Online Dentist, we have proven that we provide reliable, high quality health information. We have just achieved certification by The Information Standard, a health and care certification programme supported by NHS England.
When searching for information on the internet, it can be tricky to know what to believe. The Online Dentist is already certified by the Health On The Net Foundation; a mark of quality for heath information providers. Our certification by The Information Standard proves that we provide dental advice that you can trust.
The Information Standard is a certification programme for health and care information. It is an independent programme supported by NHS England. The quality mark is a quick and easy way for the public to identify reliable and trustworthy sources of information.
Following a rigorous review of our production processes, The Online Dentist meets the standards expected by The Information Standard. Ann Robinson, director of public awareness for The Information Standard, commented: “With so much information available now, it is vital the public be able to differentiate between information that is and isn’t trustworthy. This is why The Information Standard was established, with its easy to spot quality mark, the public just need to check the mark is on the leaflet or website they’re reading to know that the health information produced by that organisation can be relied upon. It is great therefore that The Online Dentist has become the latest member of the programme and has been recognised as being a trustworthy source of information.”
Andrew Wilson, the founder of The Online Dentist had this to say: “It’s easy to be misled by health information. Often poor quality information can be presented as if it is fact. That’s why we are so proud to have achieved this certification. We now have proof of the quality of our dental advice. We hope that this allows us to help more and more people to take control of their dental health.”
